This is the account till he moved to DRDO to lead India's nuclear weapons program. It is published in 13 languages. About: The narration starts when he(Dr. Kalam) was a little boy. His hometown was in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He tells his life in school days and about his family. He talks about the hardships and struggles to study and complete his higher education, how he became motivated to work for his country as an aerospace engineer. He recalls building a prototype vehicle Nandi for military, and his nervousness when the day of inspection arrived.
