Background: A novel by Emily Brontë was published in 1847 under the pseudonym "Ellis Bell". It was edited and republished as a posthumous second edition in 1850. It is an example of gothic fiction. About: The novel is set the country-side moors. It is a story of two generations of people revolving between two iconic mansions of that area: Thrushcross Grange and the Wuthering Heights. The story is an experience of rich Englishman called Mr. Lockwood , who had came as a tenant at Thrushcross Grange. As the time progresses, he comes to about the main character of the novel: Mr. Heathcliff, who is portrayed as a tough, stern and rather dangerous man. Mr. Lockwood dwells deeper to find the happenings at Wuthering Heights, Thrushcross Grange, how these became a property of  Mr. Heathcliff. His hometown was in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He tells his life in school days and about his family.
